Hello to everyone!
For this is a new day and a new week. The chill of fall is in the air. We have had some nice, cool days. This is my favorite time of the year. I hope you had a wonderful week. My family and I had a great one.
Well, fall break is over, and by now, some parents are saying, “Thank God! It’s about time! Why do we have a fall break?” And there are others who said, “I am not ready for my child to go back; we had a great time on the break, so let’s start planning for the next break!” Some children were glad to return while others were not. Either way, the children are back in school, preparing themselves for the future. While some do not realize, these are the best days of their life! If only I could turn back the hands of time when I was home with my parents…
I know this is not Teachers’ Appreciation week. That is in May, but we have some awesome teachers here in Chester County! To our teachers, we appreciate you and thank you for teaching our children. We realize you have to enjoy what you do because the pay is not that great, and COVID did not help at all! You all are the BEST, and the City of Henderson wants you to know that. We do not have to wait until the month of May to let our teachers know how much we appreciate them! The best of teachers simply enjoy teaching. It takes special people to be teachers! Keep up the great work! Better days are coming! This is a shout out to all of our teachers: THANK YOU!
Sometimes, we may ask the question, “Why me Lord?” There are so many bad things happening in our world today, and bad things happen to good people, but I do believe that there are still more good things happening around us than bad! So be encouraged and know that the Lord will not put more on us than we can bear. God’s Word says that, “All things work for the good for those that love the Lord,” and some of us have learned to live our lives based on that promise.
You know next month is November, and it is the month of Thanksgiving. So just remember that the Lord loves us and we are to give thanks every day of our life, friends and family. Because if he did not love us, He would not have given up His Son for us! So, my friends, be kind and love one other and remember the Lord made us all!
On our birthday list this week are Lola Bynum and Cheryl Conder on 10/26. We pray the Lord will bless you with many more! Have a Happy Birthday!
On our prayer list: our loved ones who are in the hospitals, those sick in their homes, our children, teachers and families and the men and women who are serving our country. Remember to pray for our United States of America.
Do not forget to patronize with our local businesses here in town; let us try to support our own as much as we can.
If you live in the City of Henderson and have news about your families, birthdays, anniversaries, announcements or things happening in the City, I need to hear from you. Text me at 608-6132, or you may email me gloria__holiday@msn.com.
HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
