Greetings from Hickory Corner!
Reminder that Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday, March 12. Make sure to move your clocks forward one hour before going to bed Saturday night. We will lose an hour of sleep, but it is worth it to get longer daylight. I am thinking the sun will begin setting around 7 p.m. Won’t that be nice?
Do not forget to mark your calendars for Saturday, March 18, as there will be a St. Patrick’s Day gathering starting at 4 p.m. at the Hickory Corner Center. There will be a potluck meal, and the meat will be furnished. Please bring a side dish and/or dessert. Also, please bring prizes for the bingo games. Everyone is welcome to attend. Do not miss out on afternoon of fun, good food and fellowship. Oh, and do not forget to wear your green.
I talked to Lonnie Morton and he said he Shirley will be at the St. Patrick’s Day gathering “as long as the creek doesn’t rise!”
Happy Anniversary wishes go out to Dennis and Becky Clayton. They will be celebrating their third year wedding anniversary on March 20. Wishing you two a special day and many more happy years together.
My daughter Cindy is here from Illinois. Her aunt Ellna Patterson Roland and cousin Brenda Berryman stopped by for a visit, and then a few days later, we stopped at Ellna’s house and visited again, and cousin Tony Roland was there. We have done a little shopping and lots of eating.
I am happy to report that my lab Ruger is doing great. He is getting around better than ever.
