Goodbye to May, and hello to June! Wow, the days are flying by. I can not believe this year will soon be half over. Time seems to move even faster when you are older. June brings a lot of summer fun and brings Flag Day on June 14 and Father’s Day on June 20. It also brings garden work for many. Remember not to get too hot working in your garden. Drink lots of water and take breaks.
I am enjoying a visit with my son Terry and his wife Jo Ellen. Jo and I had a day out of shopping and lunch already. It was nice going to a few places I have not been to in quite some time. Terry is staying busy working around his place as well as mine.
Members, do not forget there is a meeting at the HCC Center at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 3.We would like to see a good turnout as the election of officers will be held that evening. We will also be discussing plans for homecoming, which will be starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 19. Plans are to have a meal, cake walk and silent auction. We hope you can join us.
Also, for those who have not paid their annual membership dues of $25 for 2021, please mail your check to Sarah Holmes at 720 Holmes Road Henderson, TN 38340, or you can pay them at the meeting.
Happy birthday to these folks celebrating birthdays in the next few weeks: Joyce Clayton (June 4), Ruby Hannah (June 10) and Raven Maness (June 12). Wishing you a day filled with many blessings. Happy Anniversary to Lonnie and Shirley Morton (June 2) and Frank and Dianne Clayton (June 8). Take time to stroll down memory lane this anniversary and celebrate love.
