Greetings from Hickory Corner!
Hello, Spring! Monday was a beautiful day with plenty of sunshine. The second day of Spring did not disappoint. I worked in my yard and cleaned out my garage. I guess you can say I did some spring cleaning! I watched the birds hanging out at my feeders and watched a frisky squirrel on one of the feeders just a swinging. My daffodils are in bloom along with my Bradford Pear trees. To me, there is not anything more beautiful than spring time. I hope you all are enjoying being outside in the nice warm weather.
There will be a meeting at the Hickory Corner Community Center at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 24. All members are encouraged to attend as plans will be discussed for the homecoming celebration in May. There are several families who are new to our community. If you would like to attend our meeting and learn more about our center please know you are welcome. We are always looking for new members and new ideas.
I enjoyed a long visit with my daughter Cindy from Illinois. We did a little shopping, a little yard work, a little visiting and a lot of eating sweets. Her Aunt Ellna Roland and cousin Brenda Bishop Berryman stopped by, and we had a good chat with them. My lab Ruger had another surgery, and Cindy helped take care of him. He is doing good. I am happy when my kids visit and am sad to see them go.
