Our community expresses sympathy to the families of Adam Garrick Sells (10-14-75 to 11-20-20) – Old Friendship; Karen Annette Malone (1-18-64 to 11-22-20), beloved daughter of Charles Malone from Jacks Creek. Karen had the smile of an angel. Though Karen had severe health issues for many years, she kept a sweet positive attitude. She was supported with faithful love by her daddy, Ruby Sue Malone, Lisa Brasfield, Regenia Jones and Brenda Hannah – Henderson City; Marvin “Buddy” Almus Richardson (9-16-44 to 11-23-20) formerly from Jacks Creek. He was the husband of Lois Brooks Richardson, brother of Brenda, Anita, Susan, Ricky, Ronnie and Norita and stepmother of Betty Richardson – Johnson Cross Road; Pastor Marcus Dwayne Kelley (8-19-72 to 11-23-20) – Parker Cross Roads Tennessee Veterans Cemetery; Richard Holroyd (died 11-23-20), lived on Nobles Road in Jacks Creek; and Jerry Lynn Crowe (11-2-62 to 11-24-20) formerly from Jacks Creek, son of Jerry and Martha Middleton Crowe (11-20-42/3-29-14). Jerry had a love of flowers and Mother Nature. His smile was contagious as he helped people in need. He lived and gave tours of the Lisa Smith home; his love of antiques started with his habit of buying for his home. He designed many unique floral arrangements at Jackson City Florist. He loved gospel singing. Jerry’s graveside funeral was unique as small cuttings of Martha’s Aloe Vera potted plants were shared by Josh Wheeler with family and friends. Jerry is now with his entire family resting high on the mountain with Daddy, Mother, brother and grandparents – Unity.

We decided to ignore our old age – decrepit health, grunts, moans and “Ritis” Families – to decorate for Christmas. We chose blue and white lights in memory of Lucy Jones Burgess. That was her favorite color at our Christmas dinners way back when! Perhaps our efforts will encourage you to do some outdoor decorations to share joy not the virus! With low spirits during this “2020 Virus,” we hope our attempt will bring joy to your hearts and smiles to your lips. Honk your car horn if we succeed. We can tell when Sharon Boothe has joy. She honks at the top of the hill and goes through the intersection! Don and I smile hearing her joy! Reminds me of the song, “Knock Three Times on the Ceiling If you Love me.”
