Sending out Happy Valentine wishes to all the community! If we could all learn to spread more love, what a wonderful place it would be. There are things for our upcoming election that are being handled differently than before for the Republican party. The Republican Primary Election will be held in May, and I did not have a good understanding of what this change meant for the voters, but I was able to talk with Kathy Vest (731-989-4039) to get a much better understanding of what is taking place. I requested she put out an article explaining what the Primary Election could mean for everyone involved, and I strongly encourage anyone that has questions regarding this matter. Ms. Kathy will be happy to speak with anyone and explain these changes and what effect the outcome of this election can impact on our entire community. Cookies for Cancer will be hosting a meet the candidates Fish Fry at the Montezuma Community Center on Saturday, March 19, from noon-4 p.m. or until sold out.
Montezuma sends out happy birthday wishes to Holly Hemby and Henry Monks on Feb. 10, Mandy Cooper Futch on Feb. 11, Danielle Atkins, Deanna Morrison, Ray Cook and Donna Doyle, Mollie McGuire on Feb. 12, John Moore and Randy Cooper on Feb. 13, Becky Rowsey on Feb. 16 and Kristy Hathcock and Alice Cook on Feb. 17 (being something I have in common with these two).
With so much unrest in our country, I pray that each of you believers will be praying continually for our government and salvation for the lost. Please pray for the people dealing with COVID, Kolby Cunningham, Frank and Imogene Naylor, Martha Cooper, Jake Richardson, Ashley Pugh, Billy Austin, Faye Morrison, Joyce Beecham, Doug Thomas, Tavish and Lachlan Cox, Ann Morrison, Jessie Pugh, Faye Crouse, Ed and Betty Morris, healthcare workers and law enforcement. We especially want to remember the families of Joanne Talley VanCleave, Debbie Terry Floyd, Billy Jack Sherrill, Venita Watson Woods, Larry Sipes, Mammie Climer Denison, Dossie Talley, Kathleen Mullins and other families that have recently lost loved ones. Please call Betty Cooper at 879-9078 to book the use of the community center.
Wishing a very blessed week to all you readers!
