My apologies for no article last week. I had a problem with my emails going out and did not realize it until the end of the week. I am not great with technology, but I did manage to fix it last Friday, or at least I think I have it corrected.
There are things for our upcoming election that are being handled differently than before for the Republican party. The Republican Primary Election will be held in May, and I did not have a good understanding of what this change meant for the voters, but I was able to talk with Kathy Vest (989-4039) to get a much better understanding of what is taking place. I strongly encourage anyone that has questions regarding this matter to contact her. Ms. Kathy will be happy to speak with anyone and explain these changes and what effect the outcome of this election can impact on our entire community.
Cookies for Cancer will be hosting a meet the candidates Fish Fry at the Montezuma Community Center on Saturday, March 19, from noon-4 p.m. or until sold out. Please call Betty Cooper at 879-9078 to book the use of the community center.

With so much unrest in our country, I pray that each of you believers will be praying continually for our government and salvation for the lost. Please pray for the people dealing with COVID, Nancy Crouse, Kolby Cunningham, Frank and Imogene Naylor, Martha Cooper, Jake Richardson, Ashley Pugh, Faye Morrison, Joyce Beecham, Doug Thomas, Ann Morrison, Jessie Pugh, Faye Crouse, Ed Morris, healthcare workers and law enforcement. We especially want to remember the families of Betty Morris, David Morris, Wyneth “Winnie” Watkins, Doris Ann Harris, Mickey Lynn Smith, Kenny Johnson, Billy Dieckmeyer, Kim Seratt, Doris Ann Harris, Ralph Larry Rose, Sarah Naylor Patterson, Henry Edward Jacobs, Lessie Jerelene Smith McNeil, Nan Kent, Jane Flatt, Mary Kathryn Barnes, Anita Gail Mayfield, Ethel Rhea Bishop and other families that have recently lost loved ones. Many from our community are being called to their final resting place, and I pray that is Heaven. There are many signs that we are nearing the end of time and the return of our Lord and Savior and people need to get prepared for the worst is yet to come. Reach out to a local church if you have questions regarding what it takes to know you will get to Heaven.
Wishing a very blessed week to all you readers!
