The Community Center Committee would like to thank all of you that came out this past Saturday and supported our Big Country Breakfast and Bake Sale. Fundraisers, membership dues and rental of the building are what keep the center alive. We are currently doing some upgrades to the center. You may notice brighter lighting and repaired windows, and our bathrooms have a new look. We ask that those renting our facility please follow our rules and show respect for the building. We try to keep it in the best order possible, and it takes everyone cooperating to make that happen. We are looking for community members that have skills to help with things big or small at our center. At times we just need a good clean up, painting, plumbing, electrical, etc.
If you care about this community, please get involved in what is taking place to continue to grow our county and make it a better place to live and raise a family. Every voice can count when you need to be heard. Get to know what is changing in our local government, schools, churches and communities through the news, friends, your church, teachers, etc., and if it matters to you, there are ways to help make things better. Mark your calendars now for Saturday, May 6. We will soon be announcing what the center will be doing on that day. It will be fun! We need more community involvement for our center and would like to invite people to join in. Annual renewal dues are $25 after your first initial year of joining. We also take donations. Payments can be mailed to Edith Sills at 4475 Sunshine Rd, Henderson, TN 38340. We appreciate all our members and would like to have more events if we can get enough help to do so. Call Ann or myself if you have any new ideas for the center or wish to get involved. People who want to rent the community center should contact Betty Cooper at 879-9078 for booking.
Montezuma sends out happy birthday wishes to Jo Price on March 16, Rhonda Tidwell on March 17, Bethany and Zachery Davidson on March 18, Hannah Hunt on March 19 and Janice Schultz and Mary H. Beshires on March 21. Montezuma sends out Happy Anniversary wishes to Todd and Emily Brown on March 18.
Please be in prayer for all local and federal elected officials as decisions are being made, law enforcement, first responders, healthcare workers, teachers and administrators, and with all the upside down happenings in our world around us, pray daily. There is much spiritual warfare with society accepting things that go against who God is and what HIS laws are that we are to follow. Every day of life has its challenges but if we look to God for the right path, it can be a good one. Please pray for those suffering from the flu, COVID and other seasonal illnesses and Charlie Harris, Misty Paul, Clint Murley, Janeane Moore who is recovering, Ann Lowe who is in recovery, Sherry Fletcher, Chuck Beacham, Sandra Lott, Johnny Warren Garner, Faye Crouse, Kenneth Burkhead, Joann Fowler, Janice Morris, Dot Smith, Lisa Bishop, Jeanette Walker, Paul Schilling, Jennifer Paton, Nancy Crouse, Martha Cooper, Jake Richardson, Ann Morrison and others that are sick or healing. We especially want to remember the families that have recently lost loved ones. This is the first time in who knows that I have not had names to specify for lost loved ones. Praise the Lord!
