Many more people can do their part by continuing to adhere to the instructions regarding the coronavirus outbreak. The sooner we all decide to stay at home and practice social distancing the way we have been instructed, the sooner we may see a difference in the spread of this virus. I am personally still going to the office because my office consists of myself and one other person on any given day, and we are at opposite ends of the building. If you have not tried the online grocery ordering, you might want to try it. Piggly Wiggly has it available online or by phone. This is a true time saver, and they are good to work with you and do their best to accommodate. I do not know about others, but I could get used to the curbside service that many places have come up with. I am not one to wander throughout the store on a normal basis. With working and having a home to keep up, it takes up most of my time, and these little time savers have been a blessing. If you look hard enough, you can find a silver lining in almost every cloud. Enjoy the days of sunshine that we are getting. Soak up some natural Vitamin C, but keep your distance from others or just stay in your own yards. We are all looking forward to life returning to what we see as normal.
“Cookies” for Cancer will be rescheduling the Second Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Free Easter Dinner for a later time.
Montezuma sends out happy birthday wishes to Peggy Weaver on April 3 and Jo Ellis on April 5.
Please continue to pray for John Phillips, Linda Tacker, Buck Burkhead, Anthony Cooper, Faye Crouse, Nancy Thomas, Ed and Betty Morris, Ann Morrison, our country and our government. Please be in prayer for the families of Mike Stewart Mays, James Koronka, Elvie Lee Sanders, James J. Peacock, Gladys Greer and other families that have recently lost loved ones. We especially want to remember those families that are losing family members to the coronavirus and are not able to say their goodbyes or have proper burial services, all the men and women who are working throughout the healthcare industry to do their part in caring for the victims of this virus and police officers, firemen, the military and others who are being exposed while doing their jobs.
