Hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day. It was a day to remember those who served our country and gave us the opportunity to have many of the freedoms that we have today.
Summer is here, and who knows what type of weather we will be having? It has definitely been an interesting year so far.
Our hearts still go out to those that lost those young people in the recent tragic accident. Reach out in any way possible to continue to help support those families. They still need our prayers.
Most of us are starting to see things reopen. Do remember this virus is still lurking, and do not let your guard down. If you do start to feel any symptoms, please stay home and get tested to help prevent the spread to others.
Montezuma sends out Happy Birthday wishes Mendi Moore and Celia Murley on June 1.
Please continue to pray for Kristen Daniel, John Phillips, Linda Tacker, Buck Burkhead, Anthony Cooper, Faye Crouse, Nancy Thomas, Ed and Betty Morris, Ann Morrison, our country and our government. Please be in prayer for the families that have recently lost loved ones. We especially want to remember the families of John William Eaton, Jr., Larcie Lee Kirk, Jerry D. Harwell and those families that are losing family members to the coronavirus and are not able to say their goodbyes or have proper burial services, all the men and women that are working throughout the healthcare industry to do their part in caring for the victims of this virus and police officers, firemen, military and others who are being exposed while doing their jobs.
We would love to have some new people get involved in working with us at the community center. Please call me at 608-2857 if you would like to join in.
Please call Betty Cooper at 879-9078 to book the use of the community center.
Please send any noteworthy news you have to share in this column to gaylecox@bellsouth.net or call me at 608-2857.

Blessings to all of you until next time.
