Hello to all from this little corner of the world. The temperature on Sunday was 62 degrees. The sun was trying to stay out, but the clouds were dark, and the wind was blowing.
We now have a red-winged blackbird, four rose-breasted grosbeaks and a white-crowned sparrow. Wish I could post pictures of all these birds and their songs are wonderful. They are sure enjoying the food that Mr. James keeps out and a squirrel or two has made attempts and gotten a few seeds. Our Chinese fringe trees are in full bloom. It is absolutely gorgeous as is our burgundy “smoke” tree. The forecast for the week ahead calls for temperatures from 63 degrees to 81 for the next 10 days and lows are from 42 to 63. The best chance of rain is Friday and right now is 50%.
Happy birthday wishes go to Dexter Butler, 5-2; Donald Rowlett and William Bishop, 5-3; and Debbie Mainord, 5-6.
Happy anniversary wishes go to Derrith and Chris Cooper, 5-5.
Please continue to remember these in prayer, Marie Bishop, Robert Brewer, Jackie Chambers, Rickey Clayton, Nathan Frost, Jennifer Gateley, Shorty Harris, Johnny Hays, Shirley Kendrick, Glenda James, Sue Lewis, Doris McKinney, Martha Mainord, Janeane Moore, Deana Morris, Cissy Nichols, LaVelle Page, Julia Parchman, Beth Plunk, Pam Priddy, Jesse Pugh, Tenisha Pursell, Logan Rencher, Todd Rencher, Jake Richardson, Cathy Sisson, Yuma Smith, Jacob Thomas, Kevin Thurman, David Tucker, Tony Tucker, William Watkins, John Webb and Adam Wise. Also, pray for our military, law enforcement, our country and first responders.
“We are each a paintbrush in the hand of God. If we are willing to be used by the Master, He can and will work through us. And when He does, all glory and honor is His, for in the end, it is not the paintbrush that is praised, it is the Artist.” – Stacey L. Sanchez
“Note to self: When you feel lost and don’t know where to turn, or how to manage; when you feel like your life and everything in it is tossed in a rolling surf, remember this is how you feel. Remember that you are—not just the wounded person in this moment. You are a person of beauty, integrity, and compassion. Rest in that thought. Take care of yourself now, just as you would for someone you love. Because that is you, too.” – Margaret B. Moss
I pray you all have a wonderful week and may it be filled with love, joy, peace and blessings. Remember: if you have news, please email me at mimmiepots@gmail.com. I would truly appreciate any news. People from here and those who have moved from our area but still want to keep in touch through the newspaper are hungry for news from home.
Until next week, Happy Trails to You.
