Hello to everyone! I could hope that you all have had a good week, but there are so many variables now. This coronovirus is the topic of conversation and thoughts. It is a pandemic – a word I have never heard used before in our country. This virus, as we all know, affects our daily life, the food industry, some manufacturing industries, churches, schools, hospitals, etc. Our normal is not NORMAL anymore. What will life be like after this all calms down? I hope and pray our nation becomes a kinder, more thoughtful, benevolent country. I hope people come to realize it is not all about I, me and mine. We are all in this thing called LIFE together. It is my belief that God is allowing this to happen in our world because of the selfish, evil, ungodly actions of many. Yes, we are human, but we have choices. Yes, being human, we all make mistakes, but just like the hoarding of supplies and such during this upheaval, it seems lessons are still to be learned. I am praying that after this pandemic is all over that we have all as a people learned a lesson from it.
Now that I am off my soap box, the temperature on Saturday was 48, and it was mostly cloudy. The temperature should be increasing daily, and there will still be some chances of rain for the next 14 days but less chances than we have had.
We did venture out Thursday with another couple. We went to the VA for my husband. He needed to have something done, and he was met at the door with, “No appointment, no admittance.” Next, we traveled to Sam’s. James went in to get two-three things, and he said, “People are going crazy.” No toilet paper, very little paper towels, no tomato sauce, many products in low supply. We went to Kroger North. The joke was on me. Why would I think a grocery ad would even be useful during this time? I asked the person at Kroger meat department if they had any chicken breasts that were on sale (ha!). No, not unless it is frozen. I should have known that the empty shelves indicated this. We left with nothing. We did travel to Food Giant and found nothing. There were no family packs of ground beef, and regular packs were $5.39 lb. I did not buy that for sure. We also had to visit Walmart. They were the only store with wipes available for customers, and someone was cleaning the baskets and had them ready for customers as they came in. Thank you. We were able to get milk, bread, toilet paper and paper towels. We only got one on the paper goods, but that was fine. I just pray we do not come down with this virus. We were careful and used antibacterial gel many times. I will say that that was an outing to see what life was like on the outside of our town. I plan on staying in Henderson to buy my things from now on. I pray the chaos ends soon. I pray for all the countries and people affected and also the workers involved in tending to the many sick people out there. God bless them all.
Happy birthday to Darrell Williams, 3-22, and Lauren Lofton, 3-27.
Happy Anniversary to Ann and Jeff Weir, 3-24.

“I Will Help You” by The Peace of Heaven – “In the midst of your trials, I am here. In the midst/of your pain, I am here to ease your sufferings. In/the midst of your worries, I am here to relieve the/anxiousness you may be experiencing inside. Look/to me and I will help you. I will show you a way out of the dark place/Be not weary , my Child—just rest your head upon my shoulder and/let me soothe you with my love. It will not always be this difficult/This is a temporary valley you have found yourself in. Take my hand/and let me walk you up to the mountain top where you will see my glory/in a different light.”
I pray you all have a wonderful week, and may it be filled with love, joy, peace and blessings. Remember: if you have news, please email me at mimmiepots@gmail.com. We are not answering numbers we do not recognize due to the high number of robocalls. I would truly appreciate any news. People from here and those who have moved from our area are hungry for news from home.
Until next week, Happy Trails to You.
