Hello to everyone! I hope you have all had a good week. The weather Saturday was warm and rainy. The rain did clear off, and the rest of the day was cloudy. We worked hard last week, trimming bushes and ornamental trees. James had replaced the front steps, and a sweet friend brought me some Carolina Jasmine to plant here. I appreciate it so much. I know it will add a sweet smell for porch sitting. It seems our hummingbirds have left, and we are seeing mockingbirds and cardinals now. We still have some yard work to do, but it will not be as hard as it has been. The weather is supposed to be in the mid-70s to 80s until Friday, and the temperatures drop into the 60s beginning Oct. 16. That is, if the weather forecast does not change.
Thankful to hear Dwain Seaton, Jr. is steadily improving. He is going through rehab now. Please continue to pray for him and his family. It does seem our COVID-19 numbers are decreasing, but the virus is still out there. Do not let your guard down. Wash those hands and social distance at least. We will still wear a mask. Also, continue to pray for Rick Hopper and family.
I am sorry if I post deceased persons in the prayers or birthday/anniversary. It certainly is not intentional. I do not know of changes unless I am informed. God bless you all.
Chester County schools’ Fall Break is Oct. 12-16. I hope everyone enjoys this time of rest and relaxation. I still do not see a lot to do with the virus still active, but there are people still going to the beach and the Smokey Mountains.
Happy birthday to Jonathan Ray and Paula Hinson, 10-12; Don Holmes, 10-14; Ally Morris, 10-16; and Larry Bray and Debbie Ward, 10-17.
Please continue to remember these in prayer Frances Ada and Tammy, Brenda Ada, Lynn Allen, Denise Armstrong, Brinson Biggs, Sheila Berry, Charlie Brewer, David Brewer, Inez Cash, Diane Cross, Kristen Daniel and family, Joie Freeman, Ann Hinson, Braelyn Ellis, Danny Jones, Pat Jones, Nancy McCaskill, LaVelle Page, Delores Perkins, Pam Priddy, Donald and Doris Rowlett, Jim Ruth, Dwain Seaton, Dwain Seaton, Jr., Dalton Seratt, Kenny Stevens, Kristi Taylor, Peggy Zimmerle and Adam Wise. Also, please pray for our military and law enforcement, our country and its leaders, those affected by COVID-19 and first responders. There are many sick and hurting. Please say a prayer for those; even if you do not know their name, God does.
“I Heard Your Voice in the Wind Today” by Unknown – “I heard your voice in the wind today/and I turned to see your face/The warmth of the wind caressed me/as I stood silently in place/I felt your touch in the sun today/as its warmth filled the sky/I closed my eyes for your embrace/and my spirit soared high/I saw your eyes in the window pane/as I watched the falling rain/It seemed as each raindrop fell/It quietly said your name/I held you close in my heart today/it made me feel complete/You may have died…but you are not gone/you will always be a part of me/As long as the sun shines/the wind blows/the rain falls/You will live on inside of me forever/for that is all my heart knows.”
I pray you all have a wonderful week, and may it be filled with love, joy, peace and blessings. Remember: if you have news, please email me at mimmiepots@gmail.com. I would truly appreciate any news. People from here and those who have moved from our area but still want to keep in touch through the newspaper are hungry for news from home.
Until next week, Happy Trails to You.
