Hello to all! The temperature on Saturday was fine for me, but we had so much rain.
Of course, we had rain Friday and were expected to have storms Monday afternoon. I hope we all had no bad results from it. As the next week comes in, the temperatures fluctuate, and some rain is in the forecast.
Halloween is Thursday. I hope everyone stays safe and enjoys the day. I also hope that the candy is inspected even with older children. I have seen where some of the gummy treats have been found to have drugs in them. If it is not in a package, it should go to the trash; better to be safe than sorry. Our youth and other churches will be handing out candy Thursday night inside the courthouse.
Remember to turn your clocks back one hour Sunday, Nov. 3. It will be dark earlier, but the sun will come up sooner in the mornings. I would like to see us remain on daylight savings time. Maybe our state government can make this happen in time.
The senior adults at Friendship Baptist Church enjoyed a day trip near Lawrenceburg. They enjoyed being together, eating good food and seeing some Amish sites.
Some of them also meet on Monday nights at 6 p.m. to crochet booties or lap blankets. Our youth visited a pumpkin farm recently where they shopped for things to put in backpacks for Christmas for children and enjoyed pizza out. They also had fun painting their pumpkins. We invite you to come visit us anytime. Sunday school is at 9:30 p.m. with services at 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. We also have service Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. We would love for you to visit and see what the Lord is doing at our church. It is by Him and through Him all is done. God bless and have a great week .
Happy Birthday to Jacob Barham, Oct. 27, Chandler Hinson, Oct. 30, and Charles Dyer, Nov. 2.
Happy anniversary to Nancy and Norris McCaskill, Oct. 2.
Please continue to remember these in prayer: Lynn Allen, Jerry Bain, Charlie Brewer, David Brewer, Janis Brewer, Kay Burton and family, Leon Carroll, Jackie Chambers, Billy Dickson, Bro. Glenn and Judy Harris, Eddie Hill, Danny Jones, Lee Nell King, Billy Frank Latham, Sarah McLemore, Nancy McCaskill, Andy Maness, Billy Neal Priddy, Pam Priddy, James Reddin, Dalton Seratt, Alice Terry Stovall, Adam Wise and Trey Young.
Also, please pray for our military, law enforcement, our country and its leaders, and first responders.
There are many sick and hurting. Please say a prayer for those. Even if you do not know their names, God does. Remember those affected by the storms and strong winds Saturday.
“Perfect PEACE”
“This journey we call “life” could sometimes seem to be just one long ‘battlefield.’ There will be victories, and there will be failures…to the naked eye. However, in the end, we Win! We must remember, there isn’t a struggle, trial, or disappointment that we go through that isn’t PURPOSEFUL. There is always a purpose for what God is doing or allowing. Let our hearts rest easy in knowing that Our Heavenly Father knows EXACTLY where we are at, what the condition of our hearts are in at all times. (Matthew 6:8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.). The Holy Spirit is our Comforter and Peacemaker! Just like back in the day, when we would wrap ourselves so tight in our grandma’s blanket, there was an amazing peace (both in how it felt and what it stood for). The Holy Spirit is just the same in that, we can wrap ourselves in Him and receive a warmth and PEACE like no other. There is no one or no one thing that even compares to the peace and comfort that The Holy Spirit provides. (Philippians 4:7-”
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.) I challenge each of us to trust our Heavenly Father and allow The Holy Spirit to warm us up. Y’all ROCK! Stay Awesome and Encouraged my Awesome friends! -No Pain, No Gain
I pray you all have a wonderful week, and may it be filled with love, joy, peace and blessings. Remember: if you have news, please call me at 983-0718 or mimmiepots@gmail.com. I would truly appreciate any news. People from here and those who have moved from our area are hungry for news from home.

Until next week, Happy Trails to You.
