Hello to everyone! The skies were gray, and it was brrrr – cold – on Valentine’s Day. The temperature was 19 with a wind chill of five degrees. There was a winter storm warning in effect through midnight Tuesday with some more possibly Wednesday and Thursday. The weather report says we could have gotten between six-eight inches of snow and some sleet. We prepared as much as we could. We drew up water in five gallon buckets to flush toilets if necessary. We had food, birdseed, dog food and bottled water. We were like everyone, waiting to see what the punch will be. We have dual fuel, which means we use electric until it drops below 32 and then switches to propane. We have gas logs if we lose electricity. We had propane alone for years, and it was very expensive. At least we get a break from spring through fall. I hope everyone makes it safe and warm through this week. If we can hold on until next Saturday, it is predicted we will go back into the 50s. I will be thinking of everyone this week and hope you make it through without any losses. God bless.
We received a very pretty Valentine’s card in the mail from a friend. I hope you had a wonderful day and that you and yours, along with all other fellow readers, make it through this winter storm that was predicted.
We did go to Jackson this week twice – yuck. I love walnuts and Sam’s has the best tasting and price. We came back by Wally World, and it was like Christmas. James had to come back out for a cart. He went to self checkout, as he had about 10 items, and he said the lines were backed up past the clothes! Good man here. We did not wait for gas at the lines there. We do shop in town and appreciate the fact that they do things for customers where big chains do not care. You know how if you ask where something is, the worker does not know or you can not find one? We have been here longer than anywhere since we have been married – 27 years. Unbelievable. We will be buried by our youngest son at Memory Gardens.

Please say a prayer for those; even if you do not know their name, God does. Prayer is not an obligation; it is the greatest privilege we have. Pray yourself through each day.
