Happy New Year to everyone!
Hoping that everyone had a nice Christmas holiday. Donna Waldrip thanks everyone on behalf of the Silerton Fire Department who helped make the Christmas bake sale a success.
Mary Lynn Lambert brings us news from some Christmas travelers.
“Barbara Lambert, Joseph Lambert and Rachel Thompson traveled to Indianapolis, Ind., to spend Christmas week with the family. They report they had a good trip and enjoyed seeing the family.
The Beshires and I toured the Markowski Christmas lights in Brownsville this year. If you missed them this year, be sure to put it on your list for next year. They were a real treat, and they particularly wowed Otto.
Condolences are extended to the family of Hughlon Wade who passed away on Christmas day. Hughlon was the husband of Ann (Lambert) Wade.”
Mary Lynn Lambert’s granddaughter, Merry Ashlyn Gatewood, a sophomore at Union University, made the president’s list last semester. Mary Lynn shares, “While on winter break for the month of January, she obtained an internship to work writing and doing research work for the Todd Starnes radio talk show which airs from Memphis.”
As we enter 2021, I know many of us could use some cheer and positivity. Tell us how you celebrated New Years Eve or what your New Year’s resolution is.
