John and Mary Jean met in Washington while John was stationed on the West Coast with the Navy. John said she became a perfect Navy wife, following him when she could and staying behind taking care of home and their children when he was deployed. Piney Grove Baptist Church and Community and Silerton Fire Department were truly blessed to have her as a dedicated member and supporter. She was always willing to do whatever was needed to help out. She was a true friend to all and a very special lady, loved by all who knew her.
