Prayers needed for Mary Jane Rainey. She just had surgery. JoAnn Murley is recovering.
Remember that Silerton residents are invited to help decorate the Holly Beshires Memorial Park for Christmas on Saturday, Dec. 7. Hotdogs will be served. The town council invites you to come and enjoy the day by helping with decorations and spending time with your neighbors. Volunteers also are needed to help with the Christmas lights for our town.
A big shout out to Mike Alexander. He was awarded the Servant of the Month for November by the Lions Club of Henderson. Mike is a member of Silerton Baptist Church and demonstrates his servant spirit in the many responsibilities he assumes.
Silerton Baptist Church will be hosting a Christmas party at 5:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon, Dec. 14. Finger fare and party treats will be served. There will be a gift exchange, so each lady should bring a gift suitable for a woman and each man should bring a gift suitable for a man. There will be many games to play.
Piney Grove Baptist Church will have a Christmas musical program at 11 a.m. Dec. 22 for morning worship. During the night service, they will have a potluck meal and gift exchange.
