Hello from Deanburg!
Our prayer list includes Kristen Carlton Jones, Tim Landers, Brianna Landers, Gary Hyatt, Samantha Mosier, Mark Braly, Joyce Stewart and Woodie Deming. Please pray for all of the COVID victims. We all know someone that has it so be diligent in your prayers.
If you see these folks this week, wish them a happy birthday: Tyler Evans on Sept. 9, Neal Escue on Sept. 10, Betty Quarles and Sherry Escue on Sept. 11, Kimberly Weaver on Sept. 12 and Coley Tully on Sept. 14.
Graveside services were Sunday, Sept. 5, at Deanburg Baptist Church in Deanburg for Joan Melton from Chicago, Ill. She was the wife of James Melton, who preceded her in death June of 2017. Survivors are daughters, Julie Brcich and Janice Ruggerio both from Chicago, and, sisters Jean Duvnjak and Marian Longfield.
Our devotion: “Beautiful Things” – “‘Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.’ (NLT) ( Ecclesiastes 3:11 )
Sometimes it’s hard to see the beauty in things, people, or life’s events. It’s easy to be overwhelmed, stressed, and busy yet we don’t take the time to see the beauty that surrounds us. He sees us as His beautiful creation. Remember that God has made us unique in His image. Look in the mirror and smile at God’s beautiful creation!” http://www.jctrois.com/dailybibledevotion/devotion
Grace and mercy on you all this week!
Praying for the people in Afghanistan and the horrible situation they have been left in!!
May God bless them!
