Number of active COVID-19 cases cut in half in Chester County following Thanksgiving break

Virtual learning re-enrollment opens Dec. 7

Active Chester County COVID-19 made a significant drop from 124 cases on Nov. 23 to 65 cases on Dec. 1. However, the number of deaths increased from 19 to 21.
The total number of Chester County COVID cases as of Tuesday is 1,044.
As of Monday Nov. 30, a total of 139 school-age children of Chester County had tested positive for the Coronavirus with 9 cases being active.
In regards to virtual learning in Chester County Schools, the window for spring enrollment in virtual school (provided by SchoolsPLP) is Dec. 7 – Dec. 12. The window opens Dec. 7 and will close at 4 p.m. on Dec. 11. Enrollment is open for any CC student. Students currently enrolled in virtual school must re-apply. Current virtual students who are not “on track”, as defined by PLP, by 8 a.m. on Dec. 11 will not be accepted for re-enrollment. Applications must be completed online.
