The win column for the Chester County High School Eagles Football team still shows a zero after the one-point loss to the Dyer County Choctaws last Friday.
The majority of the game was close, but the Eagles got ahead by two touchdowns toward the end of the third quarter 35-21).Unfortunately, the Choctaws scored quickly with about 30 seconds remaining causing the start of the fourth to be 35-21 with CCHS ahead.
Eventually, the Choctaws tied it again at 42 and even took the lead, 49-42.
With the game coming to a close with 2:12 left in the game, the Eagles decided to go for the two point conversion to take the lead instead of tie it when they made the score 48-49, but the Eagles were not successful at pulling off the feat.
Thus, Chester Co. tried for the onside kick and recovered it after players were keen that the ball crossed ten yards this week on the attempt.
This enabled them a shot to take the lead and not let the Choctaws leave with the victory, but unfortunately the Eagles running back fumbled the ball after having a fabulous night, and that was the game as the Choctaws went into kneeling position after CCHS used their timeouts.
Peyton Barham had the amazing stats of 216 rushing yards on 28 attempts and two receptions for 58 yards.

CCHS linebacker Landon Lewis forces Dyer County to fumble the ball.
