During the holiday seasons we typically see a spike in crime, stated Chief of Police Gary Davidson. Local statistics see an increase in thefts, burglaries and intoxicated drivers over the extended holiday season. So, the Henderson Police Department is announcing a program that we hope will make our citizens safer during a time that should be joyous.
Beginning Nov. 25, the Henderson Police Department will begin “Operation Here, There and Everywhere.” Each Officer will be aggressively patrolling streets, residential neighborhoods, shopping centers and businesses, seeking out law breakers and arresting or citing any unlawful individuals. We will conduct business checks, foot patrols and identify any suspicious vehicles or persons. Every officer regardless of rank or job assignment will participate. This operation will go until Jan. 2, 2020. We encourage anyone that sees any suspicious person or vehicle to call the police. We also are listing several tips that we hope our citizens will utilize to help make this a safe holiday season.
The Henderson Police Department wants to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas!
