Tennessee expanded eligibility for COVID-19 vaccination to people in Phase 1c of the state’s COVID-19 Vaccination Plan March 8. Phase 1c includes people with high-risk health conditions including pregnancy, and parents and caregivers of children with high-risk health conditions.
As of Tuesday, March 9, Chester County continues at 10 active COVID-19 cases, the same as this time last week, though the case tally has varied slightly through the week. There have been 48 deaths due to the coronavirus pandemic in Chester County, with 1,974 recovered. A total of 11,259 have tested negative locally.
Statewide, COVID-19 positive cases total 785,242. Of that number, 760,910 have recovered and 11,288 have died.
In Chester County 4,165 residents have been vaccinated. The population with at least one dose is 14.42 percent.
The population who have received the complete vaccine series is 9.56 percent.
