The Silerton Fire Department will be having their annual bake sale at the Fire Department from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec 15. At 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, they will be at Tractor Supply. If you are interested in placing an order, call Donna Waldrip at 731-658-6889.
If you are planning a trip to see the Christmas lights at Chickasaw State Park, take time to drive to Silerton to see the Holly Beshires Park lights. The aldermen and others worked hard on getting the park decorated. The old school playground merry-go-round has been moved to the park. The Silerton School purchased this merry-go-round in the 1940s. I do believe every child who attended Silerton School has a vivid memory of the merry-go-round. It is aglow with many colored lights.

Condolences to Trudy Stack in the loss of her mother. Trudy and Joe Stack just returned from Indiana where they attended the funeral.
