The splash pad at Gene Record Memorial Park opened on Monday, May 24, in time for the Memorial Day weekend.
The Splash Pad and seating were funded by private donors from the community.
For all who plan to take their children to the splash pad, a video of some of the rules can be found on the Gene Record Memorial Park Facebook page. Rules can also be found on the fence in front of the splash pad.
The water feature is activated by a simple push of the button and will run for 10 minutes no matter how many times the button is pressed.
The board of Gene Record wants to remind the community that the splash pad has 24-hour video surveillance.
They also ask that everyone enjoy their time at the park and be responsible friends of the park.
Additionally, they said, “We ask that you all be patient as we may encounter issues – this is all new to us and we want everything to go smoothly.”
Park hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
