American Legion hosts Memorial Day Program

The American Legion Davidson-Haltom Post 157 annual commemorative Memorial Day program will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, May 26, in the council chambers on the second floor of Henderson City Hall in Henderson.
This year’s program titled “The American Revolution: The enormous price paid 1775 – 1783” will feature a presentation by retired Chief Warrant Officer 5 (CWO5) Larry Newsom. Newsom served 33 years in the United States Army and Army National Guard, mostly as a helicopter pilot. His tour in Vietnam included over 200 flights as a Dustoff (medivac) pilot. He has two Legions of Merit and numerous other awards and over 12 years of foreign service around the world.
