The Chester County Carl Perkins Center will be hosting Blue Sunday, a National Day of Prayer for children who have suffered abuse and for those who work tirelessly to protect them on Sunday, April 27.
Every child deserves to feel safe, loved, and valued. Yet, too many face neglect, pain and fear. On this special day at this event, the community will take time to pause to remember them. There will be prayers for their healing, for their hope and for a future where no child experiences harm.
This event will also lift those who dedicate their lives to child protection. At this event—social workers, CPIT members, DCS workers, foster families, teachers, advocates, prosecutors, therapists, investigators and law enforcement. Everyone whose efforts truly make a difference in the world and in our community.
The churches of the community will take time in their service to pray for the victims of child abuse and for those who rescue them. As part of the “Round up Child Abuse” heme, this event was made to round up the community in love, support and prayer. Wear blue, spread awareness and stand together to make a difference.
Over six million confirmed cases of child abuse happen in the nation annually and 1,640 child deaths from child abuse were under the age of three. “Whoever receives one little child lie this in my name receives me.” –Matthew 18:5.
The Chester County Carl Perkins Center works every day to prevent child abuse, support families, and bring hope to children in need. By standing with us, we can help break the cycle of abuse and create brighter futures. Together, we can be a voice for the voiceless. Together, we can work toward a world where every child is safe.
