Mrs. Bonnie Laura (Cecil) Beaird, 85, died, Jan. 25, 2026, at Henderson Health and Rehab in Henderson. She was laid to rest on Feb. 7 at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Sandusky, Texas.
She was born March 2, 1940, in Colbert, Okla., daughter of the late Oggie, “Jack” and Lucile (Louge) Cecil.
She married Carl Lynn Beaird on Nov. 6, 1967, in Colbert, Okla. They had been married for 58 years. She was a military wife to Carl, and she gladly moved wherever the Air Force took them including Texas, North Dakota, Maine and Arkansas.
In 1983, she received a Bachelor’s in Geo-Ecology from the University of Maine at Presque Isle. Over the years she worked in sales, was a Librarian and a substitute teacher and worked for the Department of Hunman Services as a Social Worker in Blytheville, Ark., retiring from the state after 11 years.
She is survived by her husband, Carl; four children, Carl Kemp, Jackie (Debbie) Kemp, Laura McLaren and Michel (Amanda Beaird) Beaird; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister Marvis Doughty.
She was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Avery Crosskno, and three siblings Delores Worthington, Oggie Cecil and Patricia Reece.
