Hi! I am Heather Carter and I am running as the Republican candidate for county commission in District 1. I serve on the Republican Executive Committee and the Chester County Republican Women’s Executive Committee because I believe in conservative values and financial responsibility. I am heavily invested in the community through involvement in our 4-H program, as a coach in Dixie Youth, as a volunteer with the West Tennessee State Fair and through service in my church. I have also attended many county commission and budget meetings. That has inspired me to become part of the process by running for office. As your commissioner, I promise that my voice will be used to ask the questions that need to be asked. I will make financial decisions, even the hard decisions, based on what is in the best interest of our county.
I am running for County Commission simply because I love the community! I am willing to put in the time and work necessary to do the best job I can for District 1 and all of the people of Chester County. I believe in being transparent and keeping the people informed about what is going on.
I graciously ask for your vote in the May 5 primary election. This primary will determine who will make it to the ballot in August to become the new commissioners. Early voting runs through April 30.
