Dear Editor:
During the March 17, 2025 meeting of the Chester County Republican party (CCGOP), its incumbent Secretary in his remarks prior to the vote, publicly defamed his opponent accusing him of attempting to hack into the CCGOP’s database and corrupting its email list, thereby preventing a vast majority of county republicans from staying informed and up-to-date on CCGOP initiatives between meetings. The following day a post was made to the CCGOP’s social media page stating: “At the conclusion of the meeting last night, several were concerned about not receiving emails. We have learned the problem. Due to us using a free service, it does not matter that we have been sending emails to 500 recipients, only 100 are receiving them. I will be working today to divide the list into six lists so that it can be sent out in batches. Will also be looking into a listserv.” I found the post, “Interesting!” And also commented that “for two years you (the Secretary of the CCGOP Executive Committee) found it easier to accuse someone else for the problem rather than contact the previous CCGOP Secretary (his opponent) who would have willingly and gladly offered a hand to help him understand how to correctly process and distribute large quantities of emails.” The social media post was then quickly deleted from the CC TN GOP social media page, thereby preventing attendees of the meeting who listened to the accusations from the mouth of the incumbent. This letter is in no way related to the outcome of the election. The people have spoken. Furthermore I am not a person who willingly gets involved in social media wars. However, a man was unjustly accused that night and my goal is to clear a man’s reputation.
Respectfully,
Joyce Martin
