The Chester County High School cheerleaders returned to cheer camp June 3-6. This was their second year attending the UCA camp at the Hilton Memphis, where they faced tough competition each day. In addition to earning all Blue Ribbon evaluations, they won the following awards in the Small Varsity Division at the final day’s camp competition:
First Place, Camp Routine
First Place, Sideline
Second Place, Cheer
Second Place, Overall Spirit Routine
Although CCHS earned the Top Banana during camp in previous years, this is the first time since 2018 that they have had the honor of bringing the Banana home on the final day.
They also won the St. Jude Spirit Stick for the most donation letters submitted to raise money for patients and families at St. Jude Hospital.
Seniors, and now two-time All-Americans, Amari Lyons and Alivia Cox, were joined by fellow seniors, Rilee Gately and Kylan King, for this year’s UCA All-American Cheer Team, allowing them the opportunity to travel and perform with hundreds of All-American cheerleaders from all over the country at a major spirit/holiday event of their choice over the next year.
Seniors Deslynn Ingram and Rilee Gately, along with junior Chevy Lipford, received a Pin It Forward award for their displays of sportsmanship throughout the camp week.
