CCHS volleyball win two

Liberty defenders try to block the spike from Chester County in last week’s volleyball action. The Lady Eagles won the match in three straight sets.

The Lady Eagle volleyball team had a hard fought game against Scotts Hill, winning in five sets.

CCHS vs Liberty
The Lady Eagles took to the volleyball court last week to face the Liberty Lady Crusaders from Jackson.
In the first set Chester County was fired up and ready to play. Liberty struggled in the first set, losing 10-25.
The second set was all Lady Eagles, killing the ball throughout the set. Chester County was up 7-0.
Liberty finally got on the scoreboard after a ball from Chester County hit out of bounds. Liberty served when the ball got spiked right back to them. The second set ended with a score of 25.7
The third set went as the first two sets with Chester winning 25-8.

CCHS vs Scotts Hill
The Lady Eagles volleyball captured its second of two wins last Monday with a hard-fought game, winning three of five sets.
The first set went Chester County’s way with a final score of 25-22. The Lady Eagles started the set serving well but ended up serving a few balls that almost cost them the set.
Scotts Hill went on to win set three by a score of 25-23.
After two hard fault sets the Lady Eagles fell to Scotts Hill 25-23 in the third set.
Set four was another hard fault contest. Chester County, down two sets to one, were determined this was going to theirs. They won 25-23, tying them at two sets each.
Set five was the determining factor and the Lady Eagles pulled out a win 15-10, wining the match.
