The Chester County Junior High basketball teams closed out a challenging pair of road games last week, traveling to Adamsville and Savannah Christian for key midseason matchups.
On November 10, the Eagles faced the Cardinals in Adamsville. The Lady Eagles competed hard but came up short, while the boys turned in a strong performance and secured a 37–22 victory. Solid defensive play and steady scoring helped Chester County control the game from start to finish.
Both teams were back on the road three days later, heading to Savannah Christian. The Lady Eagles showed plenty of grit, battling back from a double-digit first-half deficit to make it a competitive game late. Their comeback fell just short in a 41–32 loss. The boys, meanwhile, struggled to get into any kind of offensive rhythm and were handed a double-digit defeat.
Now the Eagles shift their focus to what will be one of their busiest weeks of the year—and one of the most important. Chester County opens the week on Monday at Hardin County before returning home Tuesday for a rematch with Adamsville. The week wraps up on Thursday when Decatur County comes to town.
Counting this week’s slate, only six regular-season games remain on the schedule, making every outing critical as both teams look to build momentum heading into the Best of the West tournament. The Eagles will aim to capitalize on their home court advantage, tighten their execution and finish the season on a strong note.
