The Chester County Sweetees will be traveling to Monroe, Louisiana next week to compete in the Dixie Sweetees 5/6 Girls World Series.
They shut out Madison South 21-0 on the first day of the state tournament.
They ended up having two close games to Savannah on Saturday and Sunday with scores of 16-11 and 21-20, respectively.
The wins advanced them to the championship game versus their first opponent, Madison South, which was another shutout victory of 20-1 to result in the Chester County Sweetees being named the state champions.
The Chester County Angels competed in their state tournament as well, but unfortunately were eliminated after game two. They lost by four runs in the first game versus Savannah. On Saturday morning they lost to Madison Central 9-1.
Wish the Chester County Sweetees good luck in the 2024 Dixie Sweetees World Series!
