The Chester County Eagles and Eaglettes had a tough time in their home opener against South Gibson High School Friday night.
The Eaglettes fell 51-32 while the Eagles ended the night losing to South Gibson 73-52.
Leading scorers for the Eaglettes were JuJu Prather with 11; Brooke Ketchum with nine; Alexis Rivers with five; Kloe Taylor scored four followed by Hannah Cherry with three.
The Eagles scoring was led by Aiden Welch with 14; Jayden Williams, 10; Christian Swift, nine; Christian Halford, seven; Peyton Barham and Jayce Goff, six each.

The Chester County High School Lady Eagles opened its season on the road at Tennessee Christian Acadamy in Jackson. The final score was 57-30. The Eaglettes trailed the entire game, coming within 10 points at the end of the first quarter. Senior Brook Ketchum led Chester County scorers with 10 points; Senior Karley Heinsohn scored nine; Freshman Ester Osburn had four, and Junior Kloe Taylor had two. The boys team did not play against TCA and will be scheduled at another time.
