Chester County boys face challenging three-game stretch

The Chester County High School boys basketball team endured a challenging three-game stretch this week, falling to Crockett County, Liberty and Scotts Hill in consecutive contests.
On Monday, Chester County dropped a 67–32 decision to Crockett County. The Eagles were tied 10–10 after the first quarter, but Crockett County used a strong second period, outscoring Chester County 23–2, to take control of the game. The Cavaliers maintained momentum in the second half, scoring 17 points in both the third and fourth quarters.
Jaden Williams led Chester County with 11 points, followed by Lane Estes with 10. Elam Murphy added six points, while Jaden Weaver finished with three. The Eagles connected on five three-pointers, with Williams and Estes each hitting two and Weaver adding one.
On Tuesday night, Chester County traveled to Liberty and fell 64–48. Liberty built an early advantage, leading 20–4 after the first quarter and 29–13 at halftime. Chester County responded with an improved offensive effort in the second half, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome.
Lane Estes paced the Eagles with 16 points, while Jaden Weaver added 14 and Elam Murphy finished with nine.
Chester County closed the week on Thursday night at Scotts Hill, falling 61–31. Scotts Hill jumped out to an early lead and extended it throughout the contest, holding advantages at each quarter break.
Lane Estes again led the Eagles with 10 points. Jaden Weaver scored six and Jasce Alexander added five.
The Eagles will look to regroup and gain momentum when they compete in the Milan Christmas Tournament Dec. 19–20.
