The Eagles and Eaglettes both landed themselves a spot in the regional tournament after defeating their opponents Monday Feb. 22 in the first round of the district tournament.
The Adamsville Cardinals could not keep up with the Eaglettes Monday. The Cardinals even held the ball to slow the pace of the Eaglettes scoring after entering the second quarter 15-11 with the Cardinals trailing. In that matter of time, they killed at least about 3 minutes of game time. Then the Eaglettes pressured them into moving the ball.
At halftime, the Eaglettes were able to have twice as many points as Adamsville with the score being 22-11.
Then in the last half, the Cardinals just stayed behind with the final score being 53-38.
The Eaglettes played Scotts Hill Tuesday night for the second round of the district.
For the Eagles, they defeated North Side in a high scoring game with a score of 83-73.
Going into the game, the Eagles were fifth place and North Side was fourth place. With odds against them according to the standings, they still came out on top.
On Tuesday, they faced off against South Side.
