The Eagles did not disappoint their fans Friday night.
They were able to win this year’s homecoming game against Bolivar Central 24-14.
The first team on the scoreboard was Bolivar after they scored a running touchdown at the end of the first quarter.
The Eagles first touchdown was a deep pass from quarterback Evan Schippers to receiver Chad Barham.
On the previous play, the referees called a penalty against Chester County on the same play, but after doing it again and both Schippers and Barham doing their jobs on the field, they were able to score to make the tie.
The drive was started by an interception by Stephen Green.
By the end of the game, Green was able to get another interception and Schippers and Barham were able to connect for another touchdown.
Ellis Patterson’s 135 yards rushing with one touchdown is also another highlight for the offense.
Another notable stat for the defense is Alex Lowe getting 10 solo tackles in one game. He leads the Eagles in tackles for the season with a total of 91 tackles.
The win over Bolivar brings their record to 4-5 with one game left.
The Liberty Tech Crusaders will travel to Chester County for the last game. Chester County is expected to win this regional matchup since Liberty has not won a single game this year.
