Chester County High School Baseball defeated in Riverside comeback

Chester County Eagles Varsity fought back after falling down by four runs in the seventh inning. The comeback fell just short though, in a 10-9 defeat to Riverside (Decaturville, TN) on Wednesday. Chester County Eagles Varsity scored three runs in the failed comeback on a stolen base by Brooks Johnson and a error.
Chester County Eagles Varsity was right in it until Riverside (Decaturville, TN) doubled in the seventh inning.
Chester County Eagles Varsity scored four runs in the fifth inning.  Chester County Eagles Varsity batters contributing to the big inning included Johnson, Jayce Goff, Kallen Emison, and Hunter McLemore, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
No. 1 was on the pitcher’s mound for Riverside (Decaturville, TN). The pitcher surrendered six runs on six hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out six.
Dean Estes toed the rubber for Chester County Eagles Varsity. The pitcher allowed eight hits and nine runs over six innings, striking out four.  Easton Lovelace threw one inning out of the bullpen.
Chester County Eagles Varsity racked up nine hits on the day. Emison, McLemore, and Johnson all managed multiple hits for Chester County Eagles Varsity. Johnson, McLemore, and Emison each collected two hits to lead Chester County Eagles Varsity.
Riverside (Decaturville, TN) tallied nine hits. No. 1 and No. 18 all managed multiple hits for Riverside (Decaturville, TN). No. 1 went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Riverside (Decaturville, TN) in hits.
