The City of Henderson Board of Mayor and Aldermen is scheduled to meet in regular session at 7 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024, in the council chamber of the Henderson City Hall.
Items on the agenda include consideration of the final reading of an ordinance amending the Personnel Policy to reflect elimination of the TCRS six-month probationary period; consideration of bids received on the TDEC ARP North Ave. Water Line Replacement Project and consideration of bids on the 2024 season mowing for City Cemeteries.
The board will hear from City Fire Chief Doug Acred concerning plans to apply for AFG grants as well as an update on the existing CDBG Fire Truck Grant and the Volunteer FD Equipment Grant; and will hear an update from City Utility Director Darryl Green concerning recent repairs made to the water plant generator.
The city is also set to hear from representatives on behalf of Project Graduation 2024.
Other business includes setting a date/time for a work session to kick off the 24-25 budget discussions.
