The Chester County Library held a special story-time where two Tennessee Highway Patrol Officers read a book to the children on Tuesday, Jan. 7. Sergeant Courtney Ivey read “Officer Buckle and Gloria” by Peggy Rathmann and Trooper Alex Lee read “I Want to Be a Police Officer” by Laura Driscoll, illustrated by Catalina Echeverri. After completing story-time, the children had craft-time which included snowmen police officers that they glued together then colored.
Pinson Mounds State Archaeological Park now offers access to an all-terrain wheelchair. Fast Stop Markets and Highland Corporation Charitable Foundation made an honorable donation to the Chester County Carl Perkins Center for the prevention of child abuse on Monday, Dec. 16.
