Danny Patrick Douglas, 62 Years, 3 Months, 15 Days, departed this life on Feb. 27, 2022 in Jackson.
Visitation will be held from noon until service at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, all held at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer with Glenn Harris officiating.
Burial will follow in the Woodville Cemetery at Chester County.
He was born Nov. 12, 1959 in Detroit, Mich., the son of the late Ruby Inez Flowers Bolin. He was united in marriage to Barbara Jean Stanley on Aug. 5, 1985. He attended Mitchell’s Chapel Baptist Church in Masseyville. He retired from Western Mental Health after 35 years and spent a lot of his time working around the farm and his pond. He enjoyed feeding the fish and birds and also gardening.
He could fix anything, and many people depended on him to help them fix whatever was broken. He loved helping his neighbors.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Barbara Douglas; children, Alicia (Alex Baily) Patterson and Allen (Jennifer) Patterson; a grandchild, Natalie Patterson; four brothers; Kenny (Janice) Douglas, Ronnie (Melody) Douglas, Jeff Bolin and Jesse Bolin; four nephews, Mike, Kyle, Tyler and Zach; and other relatives and friends.
