Greetings from Deanburg once again! I hope everyone has had a good week. We sure cannot complain about the weather.
If you see these folks out this week, wish them a happy birthday: James Arnold on Nov. 8, Jimmy Julian on Nov. 9, Loretta Howell on Nov. 13 and Peter Romero on Nov. 14.
Please pray for Woodie Deming, Joyce Stewart and Kirsten Jones. Also, pray for our first responders, our law enforcement and our military. Remember our shut-ins, all those who are sick and people who have lost loved ones.
Our devotion: “Healed” – “‘He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed.’ (NLT) (1 Peter 2:24)
“Healing is such a beautiful gift God gives his people. We are all walking around this world with wounds. We are broken, battered, our bodies fail us, and death is our fate. Yet, we have hope because we serve a God who heals! He at times miraculously heals your bodies. He helps us find freedom in our lives. He also promises us all Heaven in which our tears will be no more and we will all experience God’s eternal healing power!”
Quote: “Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.” – H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
Veterans Day is Nov. 11. Veterans Day pays tribute to all veterans, living or dead. It originated as “Armistice Day” on Nov. 11, 1919, the first anniversary of the end of World War I, and in 1938, it became a national holiday. The name was changed to Veterans Day in 1954 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower (www.census.gov).
Have a blessed week, keep smiling! Call me at 879-9777 to report any news.
