Good morning from Deanburg!
October is almost gone. It was over so quickly. If you haven’t been to the Deanburg Haunted Hollow, you still have time on Friday, Oct. 31, and Saturday, Nov. 1. It starts at 7 p.m. each night. This is the 38th year, and some of the residents have worked there every year. Some of us are no longer able to, but we support with food for the concessions. We really are thankful for the customers who keep supporting the community center and fire department by returning each year.
The West TN State Fair has come and gone for the first time in Chester County. I for one really enjoyed attending. There are many tired and worn out workers who gave many hours over the many months leading up to the fair. I hope those people will get a much deserved rest. We owe them our thanks and cooperation in the future which will only get better year after year.
Pleasant Springs Church extends a very big thanks to all who attended the yard sale on Saturday. I am sorry I could not be there to see old friends and make new. We sure do appreciate the support. There will be a fun event at the church at 5 p.m. Nov. 15. Hope you can attend.
I along with Mitzi attended a concert at Belmont in Nashville Sunday evening. My granddaughter Olivia Bastin attends this amazing school. There were so many amazing young singers. The one I enjoyed the most was “Nearer My God to Thee.” It brought to mind the Titanic. I am looking forward to the Christmas concert in November.
Please continue to pray for Tony Concialdi, Kim Concialdi, Carolyn and Orban Goff, Sandra Sanders, Gary Patterson, Mary Dell and Joe Gilchrist, JoLiene Harris, Dot Bratcher, Cora and Dale Rose, Ann Lowrance, Kristen Ferguson, Lisa Lowery, Travis Middleton, Bob Tulley, Gwendolyn Parrish, Dixie Mays, Lisa and Bill Cox, Mark and Renee Landers, David Gilchrist, Lisa Massengill, Buddy Loflin, Jamie and Shane Gunn, Stephanie and Darren Hatch, Chelsea Rodriguez, Kimba Harris, Kathy Griffin, the sick and shut-ins, all who have lost loved ones, our country, our county and all who work to keep us safe.
