Good morning from Deanburg!
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! There will be a lot of cooking and eating at my house like most people’s in Chester County. This is one of my favorite holidays. There is so much to be thankful for – God, freedom, family and friends.
There was a special service at Pleasant Springs Church on Sunday. Two ladies were honored: JoLiene Harris for all her years playing the piano and Shirley Mainers for being the treasurer for many years. These are two very important ladies with very responsible positions. We love and appreciate them so much. Then, we had Thanksgiving Dinner. We were glad to have visitors as well as our church family.
Christmas at Belmont was on Saturday and was a glorious production proclaiming Christ. It was attended by Eric, Mitzi and myself along with some friends from Jackson. Everyone really enjoyed the music and songs. My granddaughter Olivia attends Belmont. She is a senior.
Please be in prayer for Judy Loftis who is in the hospital. I talked to her recently, and she hopes to be home soon. Also, pray for Bill Loftis, Tony Concialdi, Carolyn and Orban Goff, Dot Bratcher, JoLiene Harris, Sandra Landers, Kathy Griffin, Mary, Cora and Dale Rose, Ann Lowrance, Kristin Ferguson, Jerry and Ann Lowe, David Gilchirst, Shirley Mainers, Eric Landers, Bill and Lisa Cox, Gwendolyn Parrish, Chelsea Rodriguez, Stephanie and Darren Hatch, Mary Dell and Joe Gilchrist, Mark and Renee Landers, Dixie Mays, the military, our county and city and the officers who are protecting us.
Deanburg sends out birthday wishes to Shirley Reddinger, Nov. 23; Nancy Snider, Nov. 26; grandson Jackie Mullins (my oldest grandson), Nov. 26; and Christopher Beard, Nov. 29.
Deanburg Community Center will have Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinner at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6. Everyone is invited. To rent the building, call Shane at 731-608-7262.
Take care and do not eat too much! Until next time!
