Good morning from Deanburg! It sure was cold Monday, but thank you, God, for the sunshine. It sure makes a difference. JoLiene Harris was back at church Sunday and playing the piano as beautifully as ever. It was such a blessing. We also had a very big crowd. We were so glad to have each and every one. Sure hope they will come back. We were fed the word by Pastor Jeremy Arnold. He had an assistant who displayed remarkable ability with solving a Rubix Cube – his son Shane! This went right along with the message “Order Out of Chaos.” If you do not have a church home, come and join us. Sunday school is at 10 a.m. and is taught by Shane Gunn. Worship starts at 11 a.m.
There are still a lot of deaths. Our love and prayers go out to all the bereaved. Also, pray for Gage Henley, Giley Wright, Tony Concialdi, Skie Cupples, Walker Cupples, Buddy Loflin, Orban and Carolyn Goff, Bill and Lisa Cox, JoLiene Harris, Sandra Landers, Mark and Renee Landers, Titus James, Kathy Griffin, Cora Rose, Bill Tulley, Ann Lowrance, De Rogers, Kelly Concialdi, David Gilrchrist, Joe Gilchrist, Heather Ross, Jeremy Howell, Colton Hayes, Keith Reynolds, Monica Payne, Chelsea Rodriguez and Anactasia Chrisman.
Deanburg sends out Happy Birthday wishes to Kimba Harris, Jenna Perry, Joey Lillard and Lisa Lowry, Feb. 24; and Beverly Hopper, Feb. 26.
The Deanburg Community Club will meet at 7 p.m. March 3. Come and join us.
The Chester County F.C.E. Club will meet at 1 p.m. March 9 at City Hall. We would like for more people to join. It is not just for ladies. Men are welcome.
If you like chair yoga, classes will be at 1 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Silerton Baptist Church.
Kenneth Mayfield, the son of Frank and Mamie Oliver Mayfield, died during the winter storm. The service was Jan. 31 in Texas where he had lived for many years, but he will still be remembered by Silerton folks because he grew up and went to school in Silerton. He was 90 years old last July.
