Good morning from Deanburg!
We have had a few days of fall. By this weekend, it is predicted to be cold, so get out your winter clothing for Sunday’s service!
There was a good attendance for Shackelford’s 100 year celebration. What a milestone! I hope you had a chance to attend. It was good to see everyone.
As always, at this time in October, Deanburg is planning the Haunted Hollow. This will be our 39th year. The dates are Oct. 16-17, 23-24 and 30-31. It will open at 7 p.m. nightly. The last ticket will be sold at midnight. There will be a bonfire to keep warm as well as homemade soup and sweets at the concession stand inside the building, so if you do not wish to go on the trail, just come and eat. This is the only fundraiser we have to support our volunteer firefighters and to keep our building up.
