He was born Sept. 1, 1977 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to David Hubler and Rita Inskeep Hubler Barbour. He grew up on the family farm in Mechanicsville, Iowa, where he developed his love for machinery and heavy equipment. He attended West High School in Iowa City, Iowa, graduating in 1996. He then attended Kirkwood Community College, graduating with a degree in construction technology.
His first job was as a part time farm hand. Farming was his first love. He later worked as snow plow and heavy equipment operator for the Iowa Dept. of Transportation. He began working for Transportation Corporation of America in 2000 driving a tractor trailer. He was one of only a few TA employees who was credentialed to drive the company’s Canadian routes. He had a strong worth ethic and sense of responsibility. He had received his one-million-mile accident-free award in 2018 and recently learned that he had reached his two-million-mile accident-free milestone.
He married Jo Quick in 2002, making their home in Springfield, Mo. They were blessed with three children: John, Megan and Kayla.
He married Tracey O’Neal on July 6, 2018, and they recently made their home in the Finger community with Tracey’s daughters, Katie and Lilly Snow, whom he loved as his own. He loved to celebrate holidays, milestones, and random Thursdays by grilling and preparing “feasts” for his loved ones. He was an avid fan of motorsports, enjoying truck and tractor pulls.
He is survived by his wife, Tracey Hubler, and bonus daughters, Katie and Lilly Snow, of Finger; his children, John, Megan and Kayla Hubler, and their mother, Jo (Greg) Stoddard, of Marionville, Mo.; his father, David Hubler of Madisonville; mother, Rita (George) Barbour of Atalissa, Iowa; sister, Tamara (Matt) Wigim of Atalissa, Iowa; brother, Kevin (Jennifer) Hubler of Goodyear, Ariz.; his nephews and nieces, Anthony (Bekah) Trujillo and Matthew Trujillo and Makennah and Brayden Hubler; grandmothers, Thelma Hubler and Claudine Inskeep; aunts and uncles, Diane (Wayne) Novak, Donna (Steve) Amundson and Duane (Jennifer) Hubler; and many dear cousins.
