William Donald Busby, 84, of Henderson passed away July 16, 2026, at his home. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday, July 19, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Lewis Young and Dr. James Huggins officiating. Burial followed at Faith Cemetery. The family received friends at Crook Avenue from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, July 18, and beginning at noon on Sunday until service time.
He was born Sept. 29, 1941, in Henderson, the son of the late William Ward and Frances Marie Brewer Busby.
He lived his entire life in the Sweetlips Community of Chester County.
Growing up, he liked to hunt and fish. He farmed and worked in hay as a hobby, worked as a young man for Vic Graves Exxon and then went to work at Quality Manufacturing Company until his retirement. After his retirement, he became an avid lover of the Crump Flea MKT.
He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church but had been attending services at Unity Baptist Church the last few years.
He is survived by his sister, Patsy Busby Davis of Henderson; his brother, Tex (Rose) Busby of Henderson; two nieces, Tina Davis and Crystal (Michael) Hart of Henderson; two nephews, Clint Busby of Henderson and Keith (Candace) Busby of Jackson; one great-niece; two great-nephews; two great-great nieces; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Busby; and his son, William Darryn Busby.
