The Chester County boys soccer team turned in a strong performance on the road Tuesday night, defeating Adamsville 2-0.
Angel Ortega broke through with the game’s first goal midway through the second half, finishing off a corner kick from Linkin Phillips to give the Eagles the lead. Phillips later added an insurance goal and finished the night with a goal and an assist.
Chester County controlled the pace throughout the match, putting constant pressure on the Adamsville defense. The Eagles recorded 51 shots, including 20 on goal, with several players contributing to the attack. Jonathan Cupples led the way with 11 shots, while Phillips added eight shots and Ortega finished with seven.
Defensively, the Eagles kept Adamsville in check all night. Goalkeeper Riley Meek recorded two saves as Chester County secured the shutout.
With the win, the Eagles continue to build momentum as the season moves forward.
